KP e-Fard: How to Get Your Land Record Online in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In short

The official portal is efard.kplr.gkp.pk, run by the KP Board of Revenue. You can also apply through NADRA e-Sahulat centres or the Dastak app. Every user must complete NADRA biometric verification at an e-Sahulat centre once before downloading an e-Fard. The portal finds records linked to your own name, father's name and CNIC, so it is for owners checking their own land. You pay by PSID through a bank, ATM, Easypaisa, JazzCash, UPaisa or internet banking. The fee is not published on the portal. Each e-Fard carries a QR code that can be checked online against the central record.

E-Fard KPK is now live. On 2 October 2026, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi launched the e-Fard portal, which lets landowners get a copy of their fard (the official ownership record from the patwari's register) online instead of queuing at a revenue office. This guide covers how the KP system works step by step, what you need, how the QR check works, and its limits. It uses the Board of Revenue's own portal and press reports from the launch.

What changed on 2 October

KP has been computerising its land records for years. In December 2024, Zameen News reported that 83% of the first two phases was complete: 3,296 of 3,562 mauzas computerised, and 23 Service Delivery Centres (SDCs) built, with 23 more under way. Until now, getting a fard usually still meant visiting an SDC or a revenue office.

The new portal moves the request, payment and download online. According to ProPakistani (3 October), "people will no longer need to make repeated visits to revenue offices". The launch also added a digital feedback system: selected users get random phone calls about their experience, and complaints appear on the relevant deputy commissioner's dashboard.

A few days earlier, on 30 September, KP Revenue Minister Tariq Mahmood Aryani told APP that fard would be available through SDCs, NADRA kiosks and around 3,700 e-Sahulat centres. He also said a complete shift could take two to three years to settle.

How to get your e-Fard: the nine steps

The Board of Revenue's portal lists these steps:

  1. Create an account with your name, father's name, CNIC, mobile number and email address.
  2. Generate a biometric tracking ID in your account.
  3. Visit the nearest NADRA e-Sahulat centre with that tracking ID and complete biometric verification.
  4. Log in again and check that your biometric status shows as verified.
  5. Apply for an e-Fard from your dashboard.
  6. The system searches the land record using your registered name, father's name and CNIC.
  7. Select the correct ownership record from the results.
  8. Generate a PSID and pay through any supported banking channel, ATM, mobile banking app, Easypaisa, JazzCash, UPaisa or internet banking.
  9. Download your e-Fard as a PDF once payment is confirmed. It stays in your account.

The portal warns that your name, father's name and CNIC must "match the information available in the land record". If they don't, your record will not be found. If your details differ from the record, take it up at your SDC.

Website, Dastak app or e-Sahulat?

Launch reports name three channels: the official website, NADRA e-Sahulat centres and the Dastak app. The older Peshawar portal (efardpeshawar.kp.gov.pk) now shows a notice that "the facility for downloading E-Fard has now been shifted to the Dastak App". If you used that site before, switch to Dastak or the new Board of Revenue portal.

Whichever channel you use, the one-time biometric check at an e-Sahulat centre is required. APP quoted officials saying that "only users whose biometric verification had been completed through NADRA would be able to download the e-Fard."

Fee and payment

Neither the portal's public page nor the launch reports state the fee. ProPakistani says only that "the prescribed fee can be paid electronically into the government treasury". The amount is shown when you generate the PSID. The Revenue Minister has linked cashless fard issuance to cutting out middlemen.

Prices are indicative as of October 2026.

Checking an e-Fard with the QR code

Each e-Fard includes a QR code that "can be used to verify it online against the central land record", according to ProPakistani. If someone shows you an e-Fard while selling land, scan the code and compare the details on screen with the paper. A mismatch, or a code that doesn't resolve, is a reason to stop and check at the SDC.

What e-Fard can't do yet

  • Check someone else's land. The portal searches by your own name, father's name and CNIC. A buyer can't look up a seller's land from home. Ask the seller to download their e-Fard and verify the QR code yourself, or get a fard at the SDC.
  • Cover every mauza. The portal does not list which districts or mauzas are covered. Records that are not yet computerised won't appear. Settlement work in the merged districts was still continuing as of the 2024 figures.
  • Transfer land. Mutation (intiqal) still happens in person. In July 2026, the Revenue Minister announced that "the entire land mutation (Intiqal) process would be fully digitised", but we found no source saying it has launched. The SDC appointment portal (kplr.gkp.pk) is the way to book a visit.

How KP compares with Punjab

Punjab's land records authority has offered online fard for longer. The main differences in KP's system are the mandatory NADRA biometric step for every user and the QR code on the document. For the Punjab process, see our online fard guide for Punjab (PLRA). Balochistan works differently again: see buying land in Balochistan.

Using e-Fard when you buy property in Peshawar

  1. Ask the seller for a fresh e-Fard and scan its QR code.
  2. Match the khasra and khatooni numbers, the share and the owner's name with the sale agreement.
  3. Check for any mortgage or lien note on the record.
  4. Book an SDC appointment for the mutation, with both parties' CNICs.
