Karachi Property News & Guides

Karachi is Pakistan's largest city, and its property market works differently from Punjab's. Sizes are quoted in square yards and square feet rather than marla and kanal. Flats are a large part of what people buy and rent. DHA Karachi and Bahria Town Karachi are the main planned communities. Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, North Nazimabad and Clifton are long-established districts. KDA Scheme 33, along the Superhighway, is a collection of cooperative housing societies at very different stages of development.

The city draws families looking for space, students and young professionals renting flats, and investors buying plots on the city's edges. Flat rentals are especially in demand in central districts such as Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Johar.

Before you buy in Karachi, verify the seller's title and allotment documents, check dues with the society or authority, and follow the legal status of the project, especially in newer schemes. For apartments, ask for the building approval. Renters should have a written rent agreement and register with the police, which Sindh law requires. Our Karachi guides explain each step.
