In short

On lda.gop.pk, open Check Sifting Status, then pick the scheme, phase, sector or block, and plot from the lists. No login or CNIC is needed. The result is a Plot Summary: scheme, phase, sector or block, area and plot number. It does not show the owner's name. LDA's own warning on the page tells buyers to check a property's sifting report before buying or selling in an LDA scheme. LDA City file holders check their file with their CNIC or NICOP and file number. One Window applications are tracked with the application number. LDA ballot results and plot allocations are PDFs on LDA's Ballot Results and Plot Allocation pages. The latest allocation, dated 29 October 2026, gives plot numbers in Johar Town Block K, LDA Avenue-I and LDA City Business Bay. For private housing schemes in Lahore, check LDA's approved and illegal lists instead. Our housing scheme checker searches them.

LDA plot verification online is now possible for plots in the Lahore Development Authority's own schemes, such as Johar Town, Sabzazar or LDA Avenue-I. LDA's website has a free "Check Sifting Status" tool that shows whether a plot is in its sifting record, plus separate trackers for LDA City files and One Window applications. This guide walks through each one, explains what the result does and does not tell you, and lists the checks to make for private housing schemes, which these tools do not cover.

Every step below was checked on lda.gop.pk on 22 October 2026.

What "sifting" means on LDA's site

LDA describes the tool as a way to "review current progress of project sifting process". In practice, sifting is LDA's check of the files and plots in its own schemes, so that the record of who holds what can be relied on.

LDA takes this seriously enough to put a warning in Urdu above the form. It reads, in our translation: "Before buying or selling property in LDA schemes, citizens must check their property's sifting report. Otherwise, citizens will be responsible for their own loss."

When a result appears, a second notice sits on top of it. In our translation, it says LDA "will be responsible for the title ownership of sifted files". In other words, a plot that has been through sifting carries LDA's backing on title. That is the reason to check before you pay.

How to check a plot's sifting status: step by step

  1. Open lda.gop.pk. Close any notice that pops up, then scroll to "Check your Application Status" and choose the Sifting Status tab. It is also in the top menu.
  2. Choose the scheme. The list holds LDA's own schemes, 54 when we checked. Examples are M.A Johar Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Sabzazar, Mustafa Town, LDA Avenue-I, LDA City and Jubilee Town. You can type to search.
  3. Choose the phase. For Johar Town, for example, the options were Phase-I, Phase-II and "Jt_Unpass".
  4. Choose the sector or block, for example A, A-I or A-II.
  5. Choose the plot number from the list.
  6. Click "Check Sifting Status". A box opens with the Plot Summary.

The summary lists the scheme, phase, sector or block, area and plot number. The area appears as a number without a unit, so don't read it as square feet or marla. Compare it with the area on your allotment or transfer papers, and ask LDA if they differ.

If your plot is not in the list

The plot list only offers plots that are in LDA's record for that block. If the plot you are being offered does not appear, or its details don't match the seller's papers, stop and ask LDA before any payment. Use LDA's One Window office or the contact details on lda.gop.pk.

What the check does not tell you

  • The owner. The summary shows no name or CNIC. Confirm the seller's ownership through LDA's transfer process, with both parties present.
  • Dues and charges. Ask LDA for a written statement of any dues before you pay in full.
  • Private schemes. The tool covers LDA's own schemes only, not private housing societies.

LDA City files: checking a file's status

LDA City sells files that are later matched to plots, so file holders have their own tracker. On the LDA City Status tab, enter:

  • your CNIC or NICOP number, and
  • the file number, in the format LDA's own example shows: "LC-19-4-52-52-B-8".

If you are buying an LDA City file from someone else, ask them to run this check in front of you, and match the file number on the screen to the papers.

LDA ballot results and plot allocation

LDA posts ballots for plots in its own schemes on its Ballot Results page (lda.gop.pk/ballot-results, which opens only in a browser; checked on 31 October 2026). This year's rounds came in two steps:

  1. The ballot names "Selected" candidates and a waiting or "Alternate" list for each block. The ballot of 9 September 2026 covered Residential 5-Marla Block-K, M.A. Johar Town; Commercial 5-Marla, Commercial Zone, LDA Avenue-I; and Commercial 4-Marla, Business Bay, LDA City.
  2. The plot allocation lists candidates with plot numbers. LDA's "Plot Allocation, Ballot Dated 29.10.2026" covers the same three blocks, on its Plot Allocation page (lda.gop.pk/plot-allocation-results).

Each list is a scanned PDF with the candidate's name, CNIC, challan number, applicant code and, in the allocation, the plot number. To check yours, open the list for your block and look for your challan number or applicant code. The Plot Allocation page also holds the "List of Eligible Candidates for Ballot".

An undertaking among the 9 September documents, for applicants who applied "on behalf of" someone else, says the allottee pays the cost of the plot "(all installments) within the stipulated time period which shall be communicated by LDA" and completes the building, to plans LDA sanctions, within the building period.

LDA's pages do not give the payment schedule or say when allotment letters will be issued. A name on a ballot list is not a plot number until the allocation is published; ask LDA's One Window office before you pay anyone for a balloted plot.

One Window applications: tracking a transfer or NOC

LDA says its One Window tracker lets you "instantly track the progress of submitted applications, including property approvals, verification, NOCs, and development services". Open the One Window Status tab and enter the application number from your receipt. This is how you follow a transfer, an NOC or a building plan you have already applied for.

Buying in a private housing scheme in Lahore

The sifting tool does not cover private societies. For those:

  1. Check the scheme's status. LDA publishes approved, regular and illegal scheme lists; see our guide to LDA approved societies in Lahore. Our housing scheme checker searches LDA's lists alongside CDA's, RDA's, SBCA's and PLRA's, and links each entry to the authority's page.
  2. Ask for the PLRA Property Certificate where it applies. See our guide to the PLRA property certificate in Lahore housing schemes.
  3. Check every step before you pay. Our check before you pay page lists the official portals by province.

Buying at LDA's next auction?

LDA's home page carried an auction notice when we checked. It covers public-amenity plots, education and hospital sites, marquee sites, petrol pump sites and restaurant sites. The auction is on 3 November 2026 at 10:00 at the Expo Centre, Johar Town, according to the notice, which is in Urdu. Auction plots come with LDA's own terms. Read the notice on lda.gop.pk in full before you bid.
